Ed Pittman is a native of Lancaster County, VA. He earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s degree from Virginia Tech. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserve and attained the rank of Captain. Ed has over 35 years of experience in the investment industry, where he started off at the Bank of Lancaster in 1985 in its wealth management department. Ed plays a major role in providing access to a complete array of financial products and services to his clients.
Community involvements have been a primary belief throughout Ed’s life and career. Ed was a past president of the Lancaster/Northumberland Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors, a member and past president of the Upper Lancaster Ruritan Club; and a member of American Legion Post #86. Ed also served as member on the Lancaster County School Board from 1975 to 1995. Ed is a member of the Lancaster County Economic Development Authority and has served on the boards of the Mary Ball Washington Museum, the Lancaster County Education Foundation of Virginia, the Middle Peninsula/Northern Neck YMCA and is a past committee member for Lancaster County Parks and Recreation as well as a past board member of the Lancaster Historical Society. Ed is a current member of the Sons of the American Revolution and an active member of White Stone Baptist Church, where he serves as a deacon.
Ed and his wife Joyce reside in Lancaster, where they have three grown children and five grandchildren.
